Overview

Snowshoe Mountain is seeking a seasonal Activities Prep Cook for Summer 2026. This role involves supporting kitchen staff in meal preparation and contributing to a positive dining experience for guests. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while enjoying the perks associated with the outdoor activities at Snowshoe.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete tasks on the supervisor's prep list
  • Label and stock ingredients on accessible shelves
  • Wash, chop, and sort fruits, vegetables, meats, and dry supplies
  • Measure and prepare ingredients for recipes
  • Parboil food, reduce sauces, proof dough, and start various dishes
  • Prepare and deliver guest orders with speed and accuracy
  • Use kitchen equipment safely, following nutrition and sanitation standards
  • Communicate professionally with associates and clients
  • Respond to supervisor requests for various tasks, including dishwashing
  • Report spoilage or shortages immediately
  • Maintain walk-in coolers and refrigerate perishable foods properly
  • Clean workstation and follow up with supervisor for closing instructions
