Overview

Martin & Levesque Inc., a leader in the production of uniforms for public safety professions, is seeking a dynamic and versatile buyer to join their Lévis team. This role offers an opportunity for individuals even without experience, as the company provides support and training to help you succeed in your duties.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage international suppliers and develop new supplier relationships
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQs, deadlines, and payment terms
  • Maintain relationships with foreign suppliers and monitor their performance
  • Handle quality issues and supplier complaints
  • Prepare and send international purchase orders
  • Confirm production and shipping dates
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations
  • Coordinate logistics and transport for maritime, air, and ground shipments
  • Analyze purchasing needs and maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and warehouse teams

Required skills

  • DEC in management or AEC in procurement or comparable qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Initiative and self-motivation
  • Intermediate English proficiency
  • Knowledge of the clothing industry (an asset)
