Job Description

Overview

Confidentiel is a growing manufacturer specializing in the custom production of metal components for large-scale clients. They are looking for a strong, autonomous, and resourceful buyer-planner to take on both concrete and strategic challenges in a fast-paced environment where deadlines, quality, and reliability are crucial.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in the bidding process by obtaining quotes and availability from suppliers
  • Validate purchase suggestions and material availability upon receiving customer orders
  • Launch production in the ERP system
  • Confirm delivery dates with clients and manage order follow-ups
  • Supply the factory with necessary materials and consumables
  • Organize and supervise warehousing
  • Conduct monthly and annual inventories
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages
  • Monitor production planning and adapt to unforeseen circumstances
  • Develop knowledge of key products and processes after approximately 6 months
  • Engage in the implementation of the new ERP system and continuous improvement of procurement practices

Required skills

  • Diploma in industrial management, industrial engineering, procurement, or relevant field
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the production of metal components (asset)
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Understanding of procurement practices, inventory management, and manufacturing production
  • Leadership skills and strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Quick thinking, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with reading plans and specifications (asset)
