Job Description

Overview

The Accounts Receivable Credit & Collections Specialist at bioMerieux is responsible for collecting past due invoices, ensuring customers receive account statements, and resolving payment issues. This role involves working closely with internal teams and customers to maintain accurate account records and assist in various financial reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Make collection calls for outstanding past due invoices
  • Maintain appropriate customer credit limits and place accounts on hold as necessary
  • Set and meet weekly collection goals
  • Keep accurate notes and follow up actions in FSCM module of SAP
  • Resolve payment issues by providing documentation and assisting in negotiating payment plans
  • Develop knowledge of the sales process and customer types
  • Interact with various stakeholders on customer bankruptcies or fraud
  • Support gaining exemption certificates and clear AR email inbox daily
  • Assist with annual audit and interim procedures
  • Perform account reconciliations as assigned
  • Adhere to company quality procedures and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in AR, Credit and Collections, or billing
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and Accounts Receivable function
  • Understanding of debits and credits related to Accounts Receivable
  • Experience with SAP
  • Knowledge of government collection processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to collect and analyze data for informed decision-making
