Job Description

Overview

The Accounts Receivable Clerk at Prairie Band, LLC is responsible for managing accounts receivable functions, including billing, collections, and customer account reconciliation. This full-time position requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills to support the accounting department effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and process customer invoices according to contracts and company policies
  • Record customer payments and apply them accurately to accounts
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due accounts
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
  • Assist with month-end close activities and audits
  • Maintain customer account records and documentation
  • Prepare accounts receivable reports for management
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of accounts receivable or related accounting experience
  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and cash application procedures
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail and professional integrity
