We value the needs of our community and continually adapt to the changing needs of those who come to us for support.Job PurposeProvides services to TRM employees pertaining to payroll and accounts payable, in accordance with the organization's Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual. This position works with sensitive and confidential information.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepares and processes various accounts payable (AP) and payroll related administrative duties (e.g., payment of invoices, processing payroll). Prepares and provides AP and payroll reports and documents to relevant internal and external parties (e.g., 403(b) retirement plan, W2s, 1099s, other reports as requested by supervisor). Maintains and stores all payroll files and reports, (e.g., position changes, employee records pertaining to insurance deductions and leave accruals). Reconciles all payroll accounts to the general ledger.Embodies the values that form our culture to meet the organization's mission of sharing God's love, hope, and support with our neighbors in need to uplift communities. Performs other duties as assigned to assist and support others and ensure an efficient and effective work environment. Tacoma Way, Tacoma, WA 98402Associate degree in accounting or bookkeeping preferred, 2-4 years financial accounting experience required. Additional experience or course work preferred.Proficient computer skills, including experience with payroll software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.Experience with QuickBooks software (required). Skilled in clear and effective written, verbal, and electronic communication.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and foster teamwork in a diverse environment using effective and thoughtful interactions and communication.Access to a vehicle for frequent travel throughout Pierce County and TRM locations, for functions relevant to this position.Meets TRM Driver Requirements (Valid Driver's License, Evidence of Insurability, and acceptable driving record).Certificates & LicensesValid Driver's License.Physical RequirementsStationary position 75% of the time.Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.Frequently positions self to maintain files in file cabinets.Communicates information and ideas so others will understand.
