Overview

About the Role: The Accounts Payable Specialist I will use organization and detail orientation skills to process vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner. The AP Specialist I is responsible for tracking of vendors and funds in the Company's accounting software system and utilizing Microsoft Excel. The specialist will assist with check-mailing process and provide additional general administrative support to the team as needed. Essential Functions Review and sort incoming vendor invoices Verify invoice information and approvals and route for approval as necessary Review and process 2- and 3-way match vendor invoices in the AP workflow software within expected turn-around times Assist with check runs and ACH payments Review and take action on vendor statements Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external inquiries Follow established internal controls and procedures Regular and predictable attendance Other duties as assigned Regular and predictable attendance Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards About You: Qualifications Minimum 1 year of data entry, office administration, or accounting experience is required Certified Bookkeeper (CB) - optional Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification - optional Preferred Education High school diploma or GED is required Related Associate's degree - optional Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Basic knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems a plus Understanding of 2-way and 3-way matching Ability to process high-volume transactions accurately Strong data entry skills Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information Exceptional customer service skills Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment Strong written and verbal communication skills What We Offer: Compensation & Benefits Salary $36,214- $61,202Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
