Job Description

Overview

Golden Aluminum is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team in Fort Lupton, Colorado. This role involves the accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and related transactions using NetSuite while supporting financial audits and month-end close activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Process and code vendor invoices and expense reports in NetSuite
  • Review invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain vendor records and accounting information
  • Prepare and process weekly payment runs including checks and electronic payments
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues
  • Assist with month-end close activities such as accruals and reconciliations
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives

Required skills

  • Experience in accounts payable in a high-volume environment
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting systems
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Experience with sales and use tax compliance and 1099 reporting
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
