Job Description Job Description Construction Trades Services, Inc. (CTS) is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Purchasing Specialist to join our growing construction team.This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys staying organized, solving discrepancies, and keeping accounting and purchasing processes moving. CTS processes approximately 7,400 vendor invoices and 1,200 Purchase Orders annually, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable managing a steady workload while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.What You'll DoProcess and enter vendor invoices into Sage 100 ContractorVerify job, cost code, Purchase Order, and supporting documentationMatch invoices to POs and investigate discrepanciesReconcile vendor statements and research missing invoices, credits, and duplicate chargesMaintain vendor records, W-9s, and organized AP documentationPrepare invoices for management's final payment reviewAssist with vendor setup, 1099 preparation, and month-end/year-end AP tasksCreate and issue Purchase Orders for approved purchasesPlace routine authorized orders with established vendorsMaintain accurate PO records and documentationCommunicate with vendors, Project Managers, Foremen, Estimating, and Accounting to resolve issuesManagement retains final approval of invoices, payment selection, check issuance, and electronic payments.What We're Looking ForPrevious Accounts Payable, bookkeeping, purchasing, or accounting experienceStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organization and follow-throughAbility to manage deadlines and a consistent transaction volumeComfortable researching and resolving discrepanciesProfessional communication skillsStrong Microsoft Office and general computer skillsExperience with accounting or ERP softwarePreferred ExperienceConstruction Accounts PayableSage 100 ContractorPurchase Order administrationConstruction job costingSharePoint or electronic document-management systemsSchedule & BenefitsFull-time positionMonday through Friday5-day workweek$24.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experienceBenefits available to eligible full-time employees Company Description Construction Trades Services, Inc. specializes in excavation, utilities, demolition, erosion and sediment control, and sitework.
