Overview

Harmon Scrap Metal LLC is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to handle various responsibilities in a busy scrap yard environment. The role involves weighing trucks, entering data, ensuring accurate transactions, and maintaining communication with customers and staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Weigh inbound and outbound loads using the scale system
  • Enter customer information, material types, and weights into the system accurately
  • Print and process scale tickets and receipts
  • Direct drivers and keep traffic flowing safely
  • Communicate with yard operators and office staff
  • Answer phones and assist customers at the scale window
  • Handle payments and balance transactions
  • Organize and maintain paperwork
  • Watch for discrepancies in loads or tickets and report issues
