Job Description

Overview

The Accounts Payable Clerk at Prairie Band, LLC will be responsible for managing and processing vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and other company obligations. The role requires maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal policies, while providing support during month-end closings and audits.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and required documentation
  • Enter invoices and credit memos into the accounting system
  • Match purchase orders and invoices when applicable
  • Monitor invoice due dates and prepare weekly payment runs
  • Process payments through checks and other methods
  • Maintain vendor files and communicate with vendors about disputes and status
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and generate reports
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain confidentiality

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of accounts payable experience
  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes and vendor management
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and people skills
  • Attention to detail and professional integrity
