Overview

The Accounts Payable Assistant Manager at MYR Group will lead a team of AP associates, focusing on accurate invoice processing, payment execution, and adherence to company policies. Key responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the Accounts Payable (AP) team in a hybrid work environment
  • Schedule, plan, and coordinate employee work
  • Monitor and evaluate work performance of staff
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
  • Review payments for accuracy and compliance with MYR Financial Signature Authority Policy
  • Assist with monthly accounting close process and deliver AP Aging reports
  • Address escalated issues from vendors and internal staff
  • Develop and maintain training and SOP documentation
  • Ensure vendor setup complies with MYR policies
  • Manage 1099 reporting in accordance with IRS requirements
  • Perform unclaimed property research and support escheatment processes
  • Review and account for 'Received Not Vouchered' transactions
  • Comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy

Required skills

  • Minimum 7 years of progressively-responsible Accounts Payable operations experience
  • Minimum 5 years full cycle AP experience
  • Experience with major ERP software such as Oracle or SAP
  • Excellent knowledge of Accounts Payable or accounting software
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Leadership skills
