Job Description

Overview

As an Accounting Specialist at TowerPinkster, you will play a vital role in maintaining smooth operational flows within the firm by managing essential accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Collaborating closely with the CFO and finance team, your contributions will ensure timely billing, accurate payments to vendors, and seamless financial data management in a project-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and update project budgets and documentation
  • Monitor project performance and assist with budget analysis
  • Assist with project audits and ensure accurate cost allocation
  • Prepare and enter journal entries with proper documentation
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations and support month-end close
  • Process accounts payable and prepare client invoices
  • Serve as backup to Payroll Administrator
  • Support onboarding and training of new hires
  • Build strong relationships with project managers and clients
  • Contribute to efficient financial operations and compliance
  • Engage in professional growth through mentorship and expanded responsibilities

Required skills

  • Associate degree in accounting or related field
  • 2 to 4 years of accounting or finance experience
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Deltek Vision, Ajera)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Teams)
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Slides, Docs, Sheets)
