Overview

The Accounting Manager - Finance oversees accounting operations for Kettering Health Network, a not-for-profit healthcare system in Ohio. This role includes management of the general ledger, financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and team leadership, all aimed at ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the general ledger and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP)
  • Monitor general ledger accounts for accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare financial reports for management and auditors
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure timely filing of tax documents
  • Identify areas for cost savings and improve internal control systems
  • Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
