Job Description

Overview

Beck's is seeking an Accounting Manager for their Princeton, IL office to oversee financial operations related to their convenience store and fuel retail business, as well as car wash operations. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing fuel accounting, and supporting store operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Process and reconcile daily fuel invoicing.
  • Maintain receivable records and monitor outstanding balances.
  • Process and deposit customer payments accurately and timely.
  • Manage the fixed asset reporting process, including tracking additions and disposals.
  • Oversee the company fleet card program, including transaction review and issue resolution.
  • Assist store managers with daily paperwork and cash reconciliation.
  • Support month-end close and financial reporting activities.
  • Identify process improvements and maintain strong internal controls.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
