Overview

The Accounting Manager will lead a team in accounting operations during a 6-month onsite contract in Draper, Utah. The role focuses on managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities while ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate, and lead a team in monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Review key reconciliations and rollforwards to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure timely reporting of financial results in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Document and maintain appropriate accounting procedures and standards.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual internal/external audit requests.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for problem-solving and improvement.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of accounting experience at big 4 accounting firms and/or public companies
  • Accounting in the tech industry preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred
  • Experience with Blackline is a plus
  • CPA required
