Overview

CFS is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their high-performing finance team in Danbury, CT. This role involves managing the full cycle of general accounting and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations while promoting a culture of innovation and career development.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the full cycle of general accounting including AR, AP, fixed assets, inventory, actuals, forecasting, and budget reporting
  • Lead month-end close and compile reports for corporate leadership
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley/COSO, lease reporting standards, and revenue recognition requirements
  • Monitor and analyze inventory valuation and production costs
  • Support tax reporting and sustainability audit calculations
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff to ensure timely workload completion
  • Maintain ERP finance modules and contribute to special projects

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in corporate reporting for publicly traded companies
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems in manufacturing
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort with data analysis
  • Experience with BI or reporting tools
  • Familiarity with cost accounting principles and variance analysis
