Overview

The Accounting Manager at Fox Products Corporation is responsible for leading day-to-day accounting operations with a strong focus on cost accounting and financial insights. This role requires a collaborative approach to provide actionable data to leadership and ensure the integrity of financial processes and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the company's accounting operations with an emphasis on cost accounting and COGS management.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and interpretation of COGS data.
  • Deliver data-driven explanations of margin variances by product line and customer segment.
  • Collaborate with operations and procurement to identify cost drivers and investigate variances.
  • Support strategic pricing decisions with margin and cost analysis.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Manage credit and collections policies, including credit limit reviews and collections escalation.
  • Conduct financial vetting for new dealers.
  • Oversee accounts receivable functions, including AR aging review and collections.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5-8 years of accounting experience, with 1-2 years in a senior role
  • Procurement and process improvement expertise
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail
  • Leadership skills for team management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Effective communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to multitask in a timeline-driven environment
