Overview

Agropur is seeking an Accounting Coordinator in Hull, Iowa, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of costs in the company's various computer systems. This position involves working collaboratively with multiple departments to manage financial reporting and reconciliation processes relevant to milk sales and components.

Key responsibilities

  • Reconcile daily milk receipt pounds and components
  • Load milk components into SAP
  • Manage intercompany and outside companies milk balancing
  • Perform milk payment reconciliation
  • Reconcile cream, whey, and skim solids
  • Prepare reports for USDA or other regulatory agencies
  • Calculate weekly number of UF Milk, Sweet, and Whey Cream load sales
  • Communicate with customers about UF Milk sales and schedule load out times
  • Direct transportation for milk sales
  • Manage daily milk loads and confirm weights with suppliers
  • Compute milk pounds with suppliers bi-monthly

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum three years of experience in accounting or related field
  • Knowledge of general accounting application and theory
  • ERP system experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
