In this role, you will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting financial data to ensure operational efficiency, support decision-making, and maintain compliance with established procedural standards and regulatory policies.Key Responsibilities Prepare, examine, and analyze financial reports and accounting records to ensure compliance with procedural standards and regulatory guidelines. Maintain, audit, and reconcile institutional financial accounts and ledgers. Prepare periodic financial statements, track budget performance, analyze trends, and advise leadership and the controller on account status. Oversee and utilize computerized accounting systems to record, track, and reconcile transactions. Review and reconcile reports for grant-funded programs and direct program teams on funding-specific accounting matters. Assist the controller with annual and quarterly budget preparation and financial modeling. Help develop and refine policies, internal control measures, and general bookkeeping workflows to safeguard financial accuracy.Qualifications Proven experience in general ledger accounting, budget monitoring, and financial statement preparation. Strong working knowledge of standard accounting principles, reconciliation processes, and audit preparation. Hands-on experience navigating and managing computerized accounting/financial management software systems. Prior exposure to public sector, grant accounting, or fund accounting workflows is a plus. Excellent organizational, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.Working Requirements Work Arrangement: Fully onsite in Indianapolis, IN.
