Job Description

Overview

Genesis10 is seeking an Accountant III - Finance for a hybrid 6+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Lake Mary, FL. This role focuses on delivering Sarbanes-Oxley compliant finance processes and providing accurate financial information for various reporting purposes.

Key responsibilities

  • Process financial transactions and analyze exceptions
  • Support R2R activities including audits and ad hoc requests
  • Prepare and post journal entries for general ledger accounts
  • Reconcile general ledger activity to ensure correct trial balance
  • Perform accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations
  • Participate in updating documentation for general ledger processes
  • Support ERP and R2R tool implementation activities

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • Demonstrated ability in basic accounting processes
  • Relevant work experience in accounting or finance
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • Private equity fund accounting experience
  • Advanced knowledge of financial instruments including bank loans and bonds
  • Understanding of investor allocations and performance fee calculations
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and accounting applications
  • 4-5 years private equity experience
