NOW WE WANT YOU TO JOIN OUR TEAM as an ACCOUNTANT TEAM MEMBER in our VAN NUYS location.Job Details:Base Salary: $72K - $83K a yearSummary / ObjectiveThe Accountant is responsible for managing the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role includes preparing and analyzing financial reports, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, filing sales tax, city tax, and property tax returns. The Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization.Key Responsibilities: Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reportsEnsure accuracy and compliance of financial statements with US GAAP.Manage general ledger, perform account reconciliations between multiple systemsPerform manual reconciliations of multiple bank accounts.Prepare and post all required journal entries for month-end and year-end close processesMaintain and monitor internal controls to ensure financial integritySupport internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.Provide financial information to external CPAs for State and Federal income taxComplete and file the following tax returns: CA Sales and Use tax, Los Angeles City tax, and Business Property Tax (form 571-L)Prepare payroll and other financial information for business insurance policy renewalsGenerate financial reports for management decision-makingAssist with new ERP implementation once the project is approvedPerform other related accounting and administrative duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related fieldAt least 5 years of proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial roleStrong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting regulations, and proceduresProficiency in accounting softwareAdvanced MS Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)Strong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsBe an effective team player, working effectively with employees across functionsStrong organizational and time-management abilitiesWork Environment:On-site, five days a week with standard working hoursExtra hours may be needed at times during end-of-period reporting or tax seasonPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerOccasional lifting of files or boxes up to 30 lbs.
