Overview

The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is seeking a dedicated Accountant to support its financial operations. This role requires a CPA candidate who will manage the general ledger, assist departments, and contribute to the preparation of fiscal reports under federal and state regulations and governmental accounting principles.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage account reconciliations and the general ledger
  • Assist departments with financial operations
  • Prepare and analyze fiscal reports
  • Develop, review, and modify accounting procedures and policies
  • Exercise independent judgment in completing assignments
  • Lead the work of others as needed

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to analyze data and produce financial reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of planning and budgeting processes
  • Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information
  • Up to two years of professional accounting experience, preferably in auditing or public sector
  • Current CPA candidate
