Job Description

Overview

The Account Manager at Redbarn Pet Products is responsible for enhancing sales revenue and maintaining customer relationships across an assigned geographical area. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to effectively identify and meet customer needs, ultimately fostering partnerships that drive sales growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage distributors by reviewing inventory and fill rates
  • Conduct business review meetings and manage new item placements
  • Get pricing inline with the suggested list price
  • Participate in promotions and handle deductions, returns, and credits
  • Coordinate shows and order samples for distributors and their representatives
  • Attend distributor sales meetings and set up trainings
  • Grow sales and gain new product placements in retail locations
  • Increase shelf space and off-shelf placements in stores
  • Set up marketing promotions and conduct training for store employees
  • Write turnover orders in the store

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience
  • Proven experience as an Area Manager in the Pet Industry
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Ability to travel by air and car
