Overview

As an Account Manager for Personal Lines at Marshall & Sterling, you'll manage your own book of business while collaborating with producers and executives to provide exceptional client service in a supportive, employee-owned environment. This role requires strong relationship-building skills and a focus on simplifying complex benefits for clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage your own book of business and serve as the primary contact for clients.
  • Partner with Account Executives and Producers to design benefits strategies and prepare renewals.
  • Lead client meetings, including open enrollments and benefit presentations.
  • Build strong relationships with carriers to secure optimal solutions for clients.
  • Create and maintain client materials using Microsoft Office and HRIS tools.
  • Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices.
  • Mentor Assistant Account Managers to foster their professional growth.

Required skills

  • Four-year college degree in business or related field
  • Proficiency in AI tools and Microsoft Office programs
  • New York State Property and Casualty brokers license
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of risk management and benefits expertise
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
