Job Description

Overview

As an Account Manager for K&D Pratt Group Inc., you will grow the Industrial Coatings and Lubricants business in the Atlantic Canadian market. This role involves customer prospecting, market education, and providing solution support across various industries, with a focus on Marine, Industrial, and coatings.

Key responsibilities

  • Hunt for business through lead follow-ups and existing customer history
  • Collaborate with inside sales staff to ensure timely and accurate quotes
  • Update and review CRM tools
  • Review supplier information on new or updated products
  • Participate in training or certification courses
  • Stay updated on marine, industrial, and safety standards and regulations
  • Travel to customer sites to represent K&D Pratt's product portfolio
  • Attend industry-related trade shows and events

Required skills

  • 2+ years of experience in fire, life safety, or marine industry
  • Completion of a technical diploma in fire, safety, marine, or related field
  • Experience in technical product sales or business development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards
