Account Manager II, IntermodalThe Account Manager II is responsible for providing a best-in-class customer experience specific to our intermodal division, serving as the first line of contact for our customers. They are responsible for ensuring all intermodal freight is serviced to meet/exceed the customer's standards, while also communicating customer needs and changes to the operations teams. They are expected to develop and maintain customer and carrier relationships, while achieving company defined operational metrics.We are open to this person working out of our Chicago, IL office or Tinley Park, IL office.What the Candidate Will DoContact intermodal carrier to obtain status of load tendered; continue monitoring the shipment status and updating in the system, then notifying the shipper and/or Receiver and rescheduling when necessaryEstablish and maintain effective relationships with intermodal clients, carriers, shippers and receivers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responsesCorrespond with customer and carrier regarding any accessorial informationMaintain current customer rates in the Transportation Management SystemManage accounts receivable within specified guidelines and handle day-to-day activities such as tracking, tracing and communicationsResponsible for confirming billing information is accurate and ready for invoicingBasic QualificationsMinimum 1-2 years of related experience working with intermodal shipmentsBachelors Degree or equivalent experiencePreferred QualificationsTransportation/Logistics experienceKnowledge of Microsoft ToolsPrior 3PL experienceBenefits & Compensation for U.S. EmployeesEmployees working more than 30 hours in the US at Uber Freight are eligible for benefits like a company sponsored health plan, dental and vision benefits, 401k match, financial and mental wellness benefits, parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance and more.
