Job Description

Overview

As an Account Manager at Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics, you will play a crucial role in business development by fostering customer relationships and discovering new product opportunities within the aviation industry. This position is centered on providing exceptional customer service while managing a range of responsibilities including sales presentations, contract negotiations, and leading projects for industry partnerships.

Key responsibilities

  • Generate leads, develop relationships, and close opportunities with market contacts
  • Identify, research, and provide feedback on current products and industry trends
  • Create, coordinate, and conduct sales presentations to prospects and partners
  • Lead the development of product proposals and compliance matrices
  • Negotiate, administer, and execute long-term contracts and agreements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with program partners
  • Support customer training and deployment projects
  • Become a subject matter expert on lithium-ion batteries and avionics systems
  • Participate in industry trade shows as required
  • Travel up to 25% to meet customer needs

Required skills

  • 5+ years of direct aviation sales experience
  • Experience with aviation electrical and avionics systems
  • Strong negotiation and project management skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM and Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Critical thinking and prioritizing skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
  • Private Pilot's License or similar aviation certification (preferred)
