Overview

Marshall & Sterling Inc is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines who will manage their own book of business while collaborating with producers and executives to provide exceptional client service. This hybrid position in Latham, NY emphasizes relationship-building and commercial insurance expertise to help clients navigate their risk management journey.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a personal book of business as the main point of contact for clients.
  • Collaborate with Sales Executives and Producers to design risk management strategies.
  • Lead client meetings including policy reviews and renewal discussions.
  • Build strong carrier relationships to resolve client service needs.
  • Review and prepare applications, policies, endorsements, and proposals for accuracy.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to advise clients.
  • Mentor Assistant Account Managers and support their growth.

Required skills

  • P+C broker's license
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in commercial insurance
  • Strong client relationship management and risk management skills
  • Transportation access and valid driver's license
