Overview

The Account Manager for Commercial Lines at Marshall & Sterling Inc is responsible for managing a dedicated book of business while providing exceptional client service in the commercial insurance sector. This hybrid role focuses on building strong relationships with clients, collaborating with internal teams, and guiding clients through their risk management journeys.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a dedicated book of business serving as the main point of contact for clients.
  • Partner with Sales Executives and Producers to design risk management strategies and prepare renewals.
  • Lead client meetings, including policy reviews and renewal discussions.
  • Build strong relationships with carriers to secure competitive coverage options.
  • Review and prepare applications, policies, endorsements, audits, and proposals for accuracy.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and coverage changes to inform clients.
  • Mentor Assistant Account Managers, providing guidance and support.

Required skills

  • P+C broker's license
  • Four-year college degree in business or related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong commercial insurance expertise
  • Client relations and account management skills
  • Sales strategy and risk management experience
