Overview

Marshall & Sterling Inc is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to join their hybrid team in Middletown, NY. The role involves managing a book of business while collaborating with producers and executives to enhance client service and strengthen relationships, focusing on innovative risk management strategies.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage your own book of business as the main point of contact for clients.
  • Partner with Sales Executives and Producers to design risk management strategies and prepare renewals.
  • Lead client meetings including policy reviews and renewal discussions.
  • Build strong carrier relationships to ensure competitive coverage options.
  • Review and prepare applications, policies, endorsements, audits, and proposals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to provide informed client recommendations.
  • Mentor Assistant Account Managers to support their success.

Required skills

  • P+C brokers license
  • Four-year college degree in business or related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Effective client management and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to assess and develop risk management strategies
