Overview

The Account Manager for Commercial Lines at Marshall & Sterling will manage a personal book of business, ensuring exceptional client service while building strong relationships. This role emphasizes collaboration with Sales Executives and Producers to develop risk management strategies and provide informed recommendations to clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage own book of business as the main point of contact for account management and client service.
  • Collaborate with Sales Executives and Producers to design risk management strategies and strengthen client relationships.
  • Lead client meetings including policy reviews, renewal discussions, and coverage planning.
  • Build strong carrier relationships for competitive coverage options and to resolve client service needs.
  • Review and prepare applications, policies, endorsements, audits, and proposals for accuracy.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and coverage changes to advise clients effectively.
  • Mentor Assistant Account Managers to support their growth and success.

Required skills

  • P+C brokers license
  • Four-year college degree in business or related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong commercial insurance expertise
  • Client management and relationship-building skills
