Overview

The Account Manager for Commercial Lines at Marshall & Sterling Inc. is responsible for managing a personal book of business, fostering client relationships, and ensuring exceptional service. This hybrid position emphasizes collaboration with sales executives and mentors, focusing on risk management strategies and policy reviews to protect clients' interests.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a book of business as the main point of contact for clients.
  • Partner with Sales Executives and Producers to design risk management strategies.
  • Lead client meetings including policy reviews and renewal discussions.
  • Build strong relationships with carriers for competitive coverage options.
  • Review and prepare applications, policies, and proposals for accuracy.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and provide informed recommendations.
  • Mentor Assistant Account Managers.

Required skills

  • P+C brokers license
  • Four-year college degree in business or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Transportation access and valid driver's license
