Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking a team-oriented Academic Nocturnist to join a collaborative hospitalist team in Winston Salem, North Carolina. This role includes teaching medical students and Internal Medicine residents while focusing on patient care and professional growth within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Work as an Academic Faculty Nocturnist with a 7-on/7-off block schedule
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students and Internal Medicine residents
  • Engage in quality improvement, clinical research, and systems-based innovation
  • Provide patient care without the requirement of procedures, although optional for interested candidates
  • Collaborate with a strong subspecialty support team in a closed ICU

Required skills

  • MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine
  • Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure
  • Interest and passion for teaching and education
  • Experience with Epic EMR
