Overview

The Academic Department Coordinator for History and Peace & Conflict Studies at Colgate University is responsible for coordinating the activities of the History Department and the PCON Program. This full-time position entails providing essential administrative support and fostering a welcoming academic environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily operations of the academic departments with a proactive approach.
  • Provide administrative support and coordination for the History Department and PCON Program.
  • Manage calendars, itineraries, and correspondence for enhanced departmental organization.
  • Monitor departmental budgets and provide regular status reports.
  • Plan and execute events, including managing logistics and travel arrangements.
  • Maintain department records and prepare insightful reports for decision-making.
  • Oversee departmental communication channels such as newsletters and websites.
