Job Description

Overview

Lighthouse CH is looking for passionate and dedicated Behavior Technicians to provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism and other special needs. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Behavior Technicians will play a crucial role in enhancing the development, independence, and communication skills of clients while collaborating with families and team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement ABA therapy techniques under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions following individualized treatment plans.
  • Teach and reinforce social, communication, and behavioral skills.
  • Foster a positive therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Conduct assessments, collect data, and track progress.
  • Collaborate with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers about therapy goals and progress.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in ABA therapy or working with individuals with autism (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow treatment plans and maintain documentation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Growth mindset and willingness to learn
