Job Description

Overview

The AAA Springfield, VA Fleet is seeking full-time Roadside Assistance Drivers to join their team. In this role, drivers will assist members in various situations such as flat tire changes, jump-starting batteries, and towing vehicles, all while providing exceptional customer service in a variety of weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide lock-out, fuel delivery, battery jump starts, and tire change services
  • Perform tow and recovery services
  • Sell and install car batteries (if applicable)
  • Communicate effectively with members to ensure their safety and satisfaction
  • Enter call information accurately into in-truck technology
  • Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections
  • Ensure fleet vehicles and equipment are secured
  • Participate in special events promoting the AAA brand

Required skills

  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet state licensing requirements
  • 3 years of experience in an automotive/mechanical environment or customer service
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Technical skills for operating service vehicles and equipment
  • Effective communication skills in writing and verbally
  • Familiarity with technology such as GPS
