Overview

The Chemical Operations Specialist role in the Army National Guard involves protecting against chemical and biological threats while supporting disaster relief efforts. This position requires training in handling hazardous materials and operating detection equipment to aid in NBC defense measures.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide training advice and supervision regarding CBRN equipment and operations
  • Maintain disaster plans
  • Operate and perform maintenance on smoke generating equipment
  • Coordinate with civilian personnel during emergencies

  • Ability to wear and use protective equipment
