Overview

As a 42A Human Resources Specialist with the National Guard, you will be the primary support for Soldiers needing assistance with benefits, policies, and personnel matters. This role involves various administrative tasks, ensuring personnel records are organized, and providing essential support to develop Soldiers' careers.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist on all human resource support matters
  • Oversee strength management and distribution actions
  • Ensure readiness, health, and welfare of Soldiers
  • Provide postal and personnel accountability support
  • Maintain emergency notification data
  • Organize and maintain personnel records
  • Perform data entry and retrieval
  • Process recommendations and prepare evaluations
  • Coordinate requests for ID cards, leaves of absence, and passes
  • Order and maintain office supplies and filing systems
