Overview

The 42A Human Resources Specialist in the Army National Guard serves as the primary point of contact for Soldiers seeking assistance with benefits, policies, and sensitive issues. This role involves providing personnel support, maintaining personnel records, and ensuring the readiness and welfare of Soldiers.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist on all human resource support matters
  • Oversee strength management and distribution actions
  • Maintain postal and personnel accountability support
  • Organize, maintain, and review personnel records
  • Perform data entry and retrieval
  • Process recommendations and arrange awards ceremonies
  • Prepare and coordinate requests for evaluations
  • Monitor Soldier requests for ID cards, tags, leaves of absence, and passes
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Maintain filing systems
