Overview

The 4-H Youth Development Community Education Specialist serves as a key member of the 4-H Youth Development Program at the University of California Cooperative Extension Office in Ukiah, CA. The role focuses on providing youth development through program coordination, outreach, training, and compliance with policies, while promoting positive youth development practices in the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily activities of the 4-H Youth Development Program in Mendocino County.
  • Ensure compliance with 4-H policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate conflict management and assist with conflict resolution.
  • Provide leadership and training for 4-H volunteers and community partners.
  • Promote and expand 4-H programs in schools and communities.
  • Monitor youth and volunteer enrollments and compliance with policies.
  • Develop community outreach plans to increase 4-H program participation.
  • Create educational materials and maintain 4-H social media presence.
  • Assist in preparing reports and compliance documentation.
