Overview

The 3rd Shift Smokehouse Clerk at Lowes Foods plays a vital role in enhancing the guest experience through engaging service and quality food preparation. This part-time position involves working in a family-owned and growing company, focusing on building loyalty and personal interactions with guests.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide fun, friendly, and engaging service
  • Engage guests through freshly prepared Smokehouse samples
  • Operate the department according to strict merchandising and operational standards
  • Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards
  • Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department
  • Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, and stocking as needed
  • Maintain HACCP required product information log sheets
  • Perform light meat cutting duties as needed
  • Perform PA announcements and other duties as assigned by management

Required skills

  • Friendly, energetic, and outgoing personality
  • Ability to engage guests and perform in front of a crowd
  • Multitasking and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Previous meat cutting/trimming experience
  • Culinary knowledge or background preferred
  • Effective communication and guest service skills
  • Ability to read and understand information and direction
  • Basic computer skills
