Overview

Grand River Navigation Company is seeking a 3rd Assistant Engineer for their self-unloading vessels operating on the Great Lakes. This role offers an opportunity to work in a family-oriented environment that values safety and teamwork while providing a chance for career growth and development.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely manning an Engineering Watch
  • Completing tasks assigned by the Preventative Maintenance System
  • Maintaining Engine and Deck Equipment such as Air Compressors, Winches, Sewage Units, Ballast Pumps, Potable Water Pumps, and OWS
  • Performing other duties assigned by the Vessel's Chief Engineer
