Overview

The 36B Financial Management Technician role within the Army National Guard focuses on ensuring accurate financial management, budgeting, and transaction recording. This position plays a critical role in the financial health of the organization, overseeing the payment of Soldiers, vendors, and managing government funds.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive and post documents to accounting/budget systems
  • Process treasury checks for payment and pay invoices
  • Maintain files and prepare financial reports/travel vouchers
  • Review contracts, invoices, and receive reports
  • Compute payroll and other allowances
  • Audit accounting records
  • Prepare payments for Army personnel
  • Record details of financial transactions on accounting forms
  • Disburse cash, checks, advance pay, and bonds

Required skills

  • Interest in mathematics, statistics, and accounting
