Overview

The 2nd Shift Press Op Trainee at Interstate Packaging Company in Springfield, TN, is responsible for supporting operations in the wide web department to ensure product quality while adhering to safety standards. The role requires mechanical aptitude, effective communication, and organizational skills to manage production tasks and maintain equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Support processes in the wide web department to meet customer requirements
  • Follow all required safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
  • Establish and follow quality checking procedures in the pressroom
  • Read and understand production orders and job jackets
  • Assist in the setup and cleanup of production jobs, including pulling ink and cleaning the press
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and management
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and facility food safety policies
