Overview

As a 2nd Shift Mig Welder at Stanley Black & Decker in Hesston, Kansas, you will be an integral part of the Production team, responsible for assembling parts and operating various tools to produce high-quality products. The role emphasizes safety and efficiency while offering a competitive starting pay of $21.24 per hour, including a shift differential.

Key responsibilities

  • Assemble parts into a welding jig and tack them according to prints and supervisor instructions
  • Use hand tools such as grinders and scrapers for finishing products
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Participate in daily safety meetings
  • Control the operation of robots, including cleaning and inspection

Required skills

  • Technical Certification in welding (preferred)
  • MIG Welding experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and layout parts
  • Knowledge of welding hazards and safety procedures
  • Ability to follow standard work protocols
