Job Description

Overview

The 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician at Altor Solutions is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of production machines, equipment, and the facility. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform general maintenance tasks, while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and troubleshooting on building and machines
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on plant machines and fork trucks
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Assist in diagnosing malfunctions and performing minor electrical and plumbing work
  • Apply paint and varnish to surfaces
  • Set up, remove, and store production molds
  • Conduct tests on water samples for quality control
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
  • Complete required documentation and paperwork

Required skills

  • Experience in hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and electrical maintenance
  • Proficient in mechanical maintenance and preventative maintenance practices
  • Ability to read schematics for troubleshooting
  • Three years of related experience
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP work order processes
  • Experience with forklifts and low-pressure boilers
  • Technical certificate or two-year degree preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
