Overview

Strohwig Industries Inc is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist III to operate and program 5-axis CNC machines. The role requires a skilled individual who can manage complex machining tasks with minimal guidance, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the process.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and program 5-axis CNC machine tools
  • Set up and verify tooling and part offsets
  • Program toolpaths using CAM software
  • Monitor machine operations for malfunctions
  • Take precise measurements for program accuracy
  • Maintain a clean work area and machine
  • Document and communicate workflow actions between shifts

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist
  • Experience machining exotic materials
  • Proficiency in CAM software
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Knowledge of safety protocols
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of mathematics
