Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Software Engineer II for their Test Equipment Engineering team in Tucson, Arizona. This role focuses on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of software to support the development of weapon system products, providing hands-on experience with advanced technology and engineering systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop and integrate object-oriented software applications using C#, C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows OS
  • Prioritize and handle multiple software engineering tasks concurrently
  • Troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation
  • Collaborate in a multidiscipline engineering team environment
  • Develop and derive requirements for software products

Required skills

  • Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Up to 12 months of professional experience in software application development
  • Experience with programming languages including C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic
  • Familiarity with Windows Operating System and Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience with debugging tools for software troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of computer hardware interfaces and data protocols like TCP/IP or UDP
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles such as Waterfall and Agile
  • Knowledge of Software Configuration Management principles
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher desired
