Overview

Calvary Christian Academy is seeking a full-time Upper School World Languages Teacher (Spanish) for the 2026-27 school year. This role plays a crucial part in fostering students' academic and spiritual growth within a biblical environment focused on making disciples of Jesus Christ. The teacher will engage students in learning and maintain communication with parents and staff, all while embodying the school's mission.

Key responsibilities

  • Model Christ in word and deed
  • Write biblically integrated lesson plans weekly
  • Establish and maintain communication with parents
  • Attend staff and team meetings and participate in school events
  • Prepare interims and report cards; maintain accurate records of students
  • Integrate school-wide theme scriptures into the classroom
  • Provide remediation or enrichment for students as necessary
  • Discipline with love and establish incentives for improving behavior
  • Secure classrooms for use by Children's Ministry and other ministries
  • Eliminate classroom distractions daily and maintain a good stewardship environment

Required skills

  • Fluency in Spanish and English

  • Florida State Certification and/or Florida Professional Certification
  • ACSI or CSI certification
